Inspiration of the journal name:

The name of this journal comes from the famous mountains called “Taurus Mountains” which is composed of a combination of sequential mountains surround the Mediterranean region of Turkey. It is well-known that “Montes Taurus” is a irregular nested very complex region on the moon. The Montes Taurus were so-called after Taurus Mountains which lie down as parallel to Mediterranean sea.

Inspiration and meaning of the logo of the “Montes Taurus Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics (ISSN: 2687-4814)”:

Since Montes Taurus is the name of the mountains and irregular nested very complex region on the moon, the moon at the top of the journal’s logo and the mountains inside it symbolize this.

On the other hand, the mountains where the Moon was born (ie exactly beneath the moon) symbolizes the Taurus mountains surrounding Turkey’s southern (Mediterranean region) like a castle.

The curves in the letters (especially the folds in the letters M, T, J, P and A) represent the horns of the mountain goats, the world’s most innocent and nature-defying animals living in the Taurus Mountains.

The Taurus Mountains have generously served mythology, civilization, humanity and all living things in every period. In the fertile Taurus Mountains, it has hosted many famous writers, poets and scientists in every stage of scientific progress in the world and will continue to do so forever. For this reason, our journal named “Montes Taurus Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics” will unite all scientists in the world like the Taurus Mountains and “always serve humanity” will continue forever without compromising its scientific line.
