This Special Issue of the Montes Taurus Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics (MTJPAM) (ISSN: 2687-4814) is dedicated to Professor Hari Mohan Srivastava on the occasion of his 85th anniversary.
On this occasion, we, as the editors of this special issue, invite high-quality original research papers dealing with Emerging Trends and Innovations in Pure and Applied Mathematics, and other related areas.
All manuscripts in this Special Issue of the Montes Taurus Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics are dedicated to Professor Hari Mohan Srivastava on the occasion of his 85th birthday. Professor Srivastava’s remarkable scholarship, global influence, professional contributions, and numerous collaborations and friendships deserve to be celebrated. As editors, we are grateful for the opportunity to write this article in his honour and to sincerely thank him for his outstanding contributions to diverse areas of pure and applied mathematics.

Manuscripts should be submitted by sending an email (including a cover letter to one of the Special Issue Editors, TeX and PDF files of the manuscript compatible with the TeX style of MTJPAM) to the following email address: mtjpamath@gmail.com.
Manuscripts may also be submitted by sending an email to the email address of the Guest Editor. While submitting your manuscript, do not forget to notify one of the Guest Editors by a cover letter which states that your manuscript is for the Special Issue: Emerging Trends and Innovations in Pure and Applied Mathematics “Dedicated to Professor Hari Mohan Srivastava on the occasion of his 85th anniversary”.
Manuscripts must be compatible with the TeX style of the journal. The authors may download TeX style here.
During the preparation of the manuscript, the authors must follow the items stated in CHECKLIST which summarizes both the publication policy and the writing rules of our journal.
Remark that the following sentence: “This paper is dedicated to Professor Hari Mohan Srivastava on the occasion of his 85th anniversary” must be inserted in the “Acknowledgements” section of the manuscript.
All papers will be peer-reviewed by at least two referees. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 300 words, see also (FOR AUTHORS section)) can be sent to the MTJPAM Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. The special issue titled “Emerging Trends and Innovations in Pure and Applied Mathematics” aims to showcase the latest advancements, ground-breaking methodologies, and interdisciplinary applications that are driving the evolution of mathematical sciences.
The scope of the issue includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
Integral Theory, Approximation Methods, Functional Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Complex Analysis, Summability Theory, Operator Theory, Graph Theory, Optimization, Fourier Analysis, and Sequence Spaces.
This issue places equal emphasis on theoretical breakthroughs and practical applications, encouraging the submission of original research. Emphasizing both theoretical developments and practical applications, the issue seeks to bridge the gap between pure and applied mathematics, addressing contemporary challenges in science, engineering and technology. By providing a platform for cutting-edge contributions, this special issue aims to foster collaboration across disciplines and inspire new directions for future research in mathematics and its applications.
This special issue is dedicated to Professor Hari Mohan Srivastava in honor of his 85th birthday, celebrating his outstanding contributions across numerous mathematical disciplines. Throughout his distinguished career, Professor Srivastava has made remarkable strides in both pure and applied mathematics, influencing fields such as nonlinear analysis, special functions, summability theory, approximation theory, and functional analysis, among others. His extensive research has not only enriched the understanding of mathematical theory but has also facilitated its application to a wide range of scientific and practical problems.
Through this special issue, we acknowledge Professor Srivastava’s profound impact on the global mathematical community, as well as his enduring legacy in shaping the future of mathematical research. The contributions in this issue serve as a tribute to his lifelong dedication and commitment to the advancement of the mathematical sciences.
As a colleague and collaborator, Professor Hari Mohan Srivastava is known for his kindness, respect, and genuine helpfulness toward everyone he works with. His remarkable contributions have been recognized in numerous documents and on various websites, where his influence has positively impacted hundreds of individuals. Moreover, he has authored and co-authored thousands of scientific journal articles, books, and edited volumes in both pure and applied mathematics. His prolific output and significant contributions have led to the dedication of numerous conferences, journals, and special books in his honour.
Born on July 5, 1940, in Karon (District Ballia), Uttar Pradesh, India, Professor Srivastava began his university teaching career at the young age of 19, immediately after earning his M.Sc. degree in 1959. He completed his Ph.D. in 1965 while serving as a full-time faculty member at Jai NarainVyas University in Jodhpur, India, where he started teaching in 1963.In 1969, Professor Srivastava joined the University of Victoria in Canada, initially as an Associate Professor (1969–1974) and later as a Full Professor (1974–2006). He currently holds the title of Professor Emeritus in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Victoria.Throughout his career, he has held numerous visiting and chair professorships at prestigious universities and research institutes worldwide.
Professor Srivastava has been awarded several honorary degrees (D.Sc. honoriscausa), along with honorary memberships and fellowships from various scientific academies and societies. He also serves on the editorial boards of numerous international research journals as an Honorary or Advisory Editor. He has led many special issues as Lead Guest Editor for journals such as Axioms, Mathematics, Symmetry, Journal of Risk and Financial Management, Fractal and Fractional, Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, and Applied Mathematics and Computation. Additionally, he has been a Guest Editor for journals like Abstract and Applied Analysis, Advances in Mathematical Physics, Filomat, Chaos, Solitons& Fractals, Applied and Computational Mathematics, and many more. He is also recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics (Thomson Reuters).
Professor Srivastava’s research interests span a wide range of mathematical disciplines, including real and complex analysis, fractional calculus and its applications, integral equations and transforms, higher transcendental functions, q-series and q-polynomials, analytic number theory, inequalities, probability, statistics, and inventory modelling and optimization. He has published 36 books and monographs, 36 book chapters, 48 conference proceedings papers, and over 1,350 peer-reviewed research articles. Additionally, he has contributed forewords and prefaces to many scientific books and journals.
Since 2015, Professor Srivastava has been consistently listed as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters), underscoring the profound impact of his research on the global scientific community. As editors, we are both honored and delighted to contribute to the preparation of this special issue, dedicated to Professor Srivastava, for publication in the Montes Taurus Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics.
